Mount Druitt Koori Toastmasters

Welcome to Toastmasters
If you are seeking to improve you public speaking skills, self- esteem and general confidence, then the Mount Druitt Koori Toastmasters model can help you.
The non-profit Toastmasters organisation now has nearly 235,000 members in 11,700 clubs in 92 countries. Our club is one of over 250 clubs in NSW who run the Toastmasters program; whilst each club runs the same program they all look at it from a local perspective and therefore have their own personality, for this reason we recommend you consider all the clubs in the near vicinity before making a decision.
Mount Druitt Koori Toastmasters endeavours to encourage Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people to try our cultural supportive program to improve their skills. The program is not exclusively for Aboriginal and Torres Strait people as we aim to have at all times at least 50% of members who are form Aboriginal or Torres Strait Heritage.
This combination has worked well since our inception over 8 years ago and allows people to learn and enjoy the program in a friendly and safe environment
When you arrive at your first meeting we will supply you with some information about how we operate along with some general information about the Toastmasters program in general.
Should you choose to join our club costs are small compared to many other such courses. They are broken up into two components which allow us to support you in your learning. At this stage, I will let you know that all fees are tax deductible. Initially there is a $120.00 joining fee which includes a life time membership of Toastmasters International and membership of our club.
From this point you will be charged a semi-annual fee of $60.00 in September and March each year. Payment can be made at a Wespac Branch or a direct deposit to Wespac with the BSB 032382- A/C 412313 place your name in the free text area with the on-line information and send a copy of you confirmation of payment to contact@mountdruittkooritoastmasters.org.au

What do you get for all this? Well, you will receive two manuals and supporting literature soon after joining and on completion of the first communication manual you will receive two advanced manuals of your choice. You will also receive a monthly magazine from Toastmasters International. Along with this you will have a non threatening environment in which to learn and by giving supportive evaluations we will aid you in your development.
